A superb and unusual Qing Dynasty, Xuantong reign, hand decorated brush pot.
They say "beautiful things come in small packages". On this occasion, the beautiful thing is the small package. This gorgeous little brush pot features a hand decorated bird and flora motif. It was made in the short lived Xuantong reign (1908-12) and carries a six character mark to the base. This attribution was confirmed by a Bonhams' valuer at a valuation day.
This piece is in superb condition with no chips or cracks and only the slightest signs of use. It measures 6cm high with a base diameter of 6.5cm.
